Aida has been at A.P.E. for 18 years and when she joined she studied and worked at the same time. He education didn’t stop however and she continued to do courses through the organisation and she completed both computer and English language courses. The computer course has helped her in her current capacity as a secretary in the paper division and the English is useful when dealing with foreign guest to the Moquattam site and when she is in charge of stalls at bazaars and fairs around Cairo. Aida got an opportunity through A.P.E. to be part of a delegation travelling to Thailand and Cambodia representing Egyptian NGOs. She says this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that she’ll never forget. Aida got married in 1994 and has 2 children who both attended the children’s nursery in Moquattam while she worked.
